The Hispanic Heritage Month Committee invites NEIU students to participate in the:
Essay or Creative Activity Contest
-Theme: "Political Activism in the Latino Community"
-Prize: $200 Beck?s Bookstore gift certificate
-Submissions begin: Wednesday, September 17, 2008
-Submissions end: Wednesday, October 1, 2008
-Essays: Spanish or English, approximately 1,200 words
-Creative Project: Video, photography, sculpture, painting, graphic design, music, poetry please call for specifications.
All submissions should be original and address the theme.
All submissions should include a typed note with name, NEIU ID number and contact information.

Winner will be announced at the Hispanic Heritage Alumni Celebration, Friday, October 3, 2008 from 6-10 PM in Alumni Hall where all students are invited to attend.
