I believe that if we like it or not stereotypes is something we have to deal with everyday. I don't think stereotypes should exist but they do. With stereotypes in our society people don't give other people a chance to prove themselves. For example, my boyfriend is Mexican, but he has no rhythm and he also doesn't like spicy food. When it comes to stereotypes there are two types of people: the person who doesn't follow the stereotype and the one that does. I have a couple of friends that are Irish, but one of them loves beer while the other one doesn't. I believe that stereotypes degrades our society and as our nation as a whole. As they say, "You should never judge a book by its cover."
